Wavie Dianne Smith, was named after her Grandmother (Wavie Smith) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. My sister was a very bright and simple young girl with an amazing ability to read material and comprehend far above her grade level. She had a pure heart and tried desperately to please all people. Dianne loved her big brother "Chuck" who was always there for her if she needed him. My older sister had a temper too!......especially when I regrettably had an accident on her new bike, leaving it to ruin...Thank goodness Chuck was there to protect me (big smiles) she was not happy with her younger sister!!!!! She was a hard worker her entire adult life, loving all the children she cared for. She was so proud of her daughter Sherie and loved her and her Mother (Pearl Sloan Smith) very much. She was with our Mother for many years assisting her as she aged. Her love for her daughter was very strong, she always wanted the best for her even though some decisions she had to make were very difficult. I am proud to say she was my older sister and very proud to say she did her very best to care for those most dear to her. She no longer need concern herself with worldly decisions but is now with her loved ones in the midst of our Lord Jesus Christ Mother: Pearl Elizabeth Sloan-Smith - Father: Charles William Smith, Sr. - Brother: Charles W. (Chuck) Smith, Jr. - Nephew: Erich Nathaniel Estes - many family members and friends along with church members of years gone by were there to greet her and she need not suffer any longer. I love you my sister.....cathey
