Twila M. Tron Lawrence

Twila Maxine Tron Lawrence, 87, of Navarre, died Saturday, May 25, 2008 at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover.Born December 14, 1920 in Marion, O., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ora Jane (Weston) Pickett. After completing her high school education, Twila married her first husband, Paul J. Tron, who died in World War II in 1944. On Aug. 5, 1956, she married Howard E. Lawrence who preceded her in death also in 1998. Together, she and Howard loved to bowl for enjoyment.Her lifetime was spent raising her son, Gene Tron of New Philadelphia, and enjoying her participation at Christ United Church of Christ (Myers Church) in Massillon. She also had a green thumb in the garden and an eye for arranging the flowers for display. Twila enjoyed her membership in the Tuslaw Garden Club in Massillon and also sewing clothes for herself and her family. Twila will be sadly missed by Gene, and her step-daughters, Rebecca (John) Roth of New Philadelphia and Jeanne (George) Gelinas of Naples, Florida; her step-son, Byron E. Lawrence of Chippawa Lake, O.; her grandson, Scott (Cathy) Tron of Mineral City and her great-grandson, Michael Tron of Massillon; two nieces, Patricia Hoffman and Beverly Copeland, both of Marion, O.; 10 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Twila was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and her niece, Janet Aten.Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday in East Avenue Cemetery.The family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Christ United Church of Christ Attn: Building Fund, 2709 Pigeon Run Rd.
