Thomas E. “Tom” Grezlik, 66, of New Philadelphia passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends on January 9, 2021 following a 3-year battle with cancer.
Born in Dennison on June 3, 1954, he was the son of the late Vernon Meek and Lois (Bartholomew) Meek Jackson.
After completing his formal education at Claymont schools, he joined the United States Army where he was stationed in Berlin, Germany.
On February 26, 1977, Tom married the love of his life, Doris J. (Kohler) Grezlik. Tom worked for Dover High Performance Plastics until his retirement. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Additionally, he loved outdoor activities and watching Westerns on tv. He was a member of both the American Legion and the New Philadelphia VFW.
Tom is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Ryan (Sarah) Grezlik of New Philadelphia and Karmann (Chad Mathias) Grezlik of Sherrodsville; his brother, Mark (Mary Menotti) Meek; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Grezlik and Linda Meek; his mother-in-law, Barbara Kohler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in passing by his brothers, Stanley Grezlik and David Meek; his father-in-law, Russell Kohler; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Kohler.
Private services will be held in Ridgecrest Memory Garden where the New Philadelphia VFW will render military honors. Friends and family are invited to a Benefit Dinner for Tom on February 6 from 5 to 8 pm in the New Phila VFW.

Bob and I are so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I worked with Tom at Dover High Performance Plastics for quite a few years. Tom was a good man, and was very helpful when I asked questions about our products and procedures. I have nothing but found memories of him.
