Thelma Mae Brick, 80, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at Hennis Care Center in Dover.Born February 21, 1922, in New Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel Moore Williams. Thelma was a New Philadelphia High School graduate and was a member of South Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia. For enjoyment, Thelma played in a card club for more than 40 years, made many crafts and enjoyed spending time with her family.Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Jack) Lewis and Marcia (Fred) Labus both of New Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Lori (Steve) Beans of New Philadelphia; a great-granddaughter, Ashley Beans of New Philadelphia; one great-grandchild expected next year; a sister, Gladys (Dean) Coutts of New Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Robert Beaber of New Philadelphia; and sisters-in-law, Nell Sherrets of New Philadelphia, Virginia Brick of Strasburg, and Pauline (Babe) Brick of East Sparta.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glenn Brick, on June 28, 1987, whom she married January 23, 1944, and a sister, Virginia Beaber.Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2002, at 10 AM, at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia with Rev. Joseph Glassner officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Calling hours will be held Friday, August 16, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
