Shirley Ann Rutherford

Shirley Ann Rutherford, 85, of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 in Hennis Care Center at Dover following a period of declining health.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Carola (Harper) Froelich and a 1952 graduate of Dover High School. She was a member of the RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) Support Group at the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and the Tuscarawas Senior Center.

On September 11, 1953, she married her husband, Dean H. Rutherford and together celebrated over 44 years of marriage before his death in 1997.

In keeping with her wishes, Shirley is to be created through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and a private burial, beside her husband, will take place in Dover Burial Park.
