Russell D. Hawk

Russell D. Hawk, 67, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.Born in Mineral City, he was the son of the late Roland W. and Marie Bean Hawk. He was a graduate of Dover High School and a retiree of Minteq International of Dover. After retirement, Russell worked part-time for Endres in New Philadelphia. Russell enjoyed bowling on the White’s Auto Supply and Tuscarawas County Seniors leagues and fishing with Melanie and Pat Fontana.Surviving is his wife, Cynthia P. Michelli Hawk, whom he married March 6, 1976 in Sherrodsville, OH; two daughters, Tiffany P. Hawk of the home, and Shelly J. Huff of New Philadelphia; two sons, Shane M. of the home, and Russell D. Hawk, Jr. of North Carolina; grandchildren, Eric and Adam Hawk and Brandon and Ashley Huff of New Philadelphia; his precious little granddaughter Chasity Marie Hawk of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Hazel (George) Pringle of Dover, and Doris Clay of Dover; and his mother-in-law, Betty Michelli of New Philadelphia. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by one son, Rickie Lee Hawk. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Cremation Service and a memorial dinner will be held at a later date.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308.
