My heart goes out to Betty and her family, i just sent Betty a Birthday wish, telling how much this family means to me! Even though I didn't stay in touch as l should have, they will always be family to me. I think very fondly of how I lived in their house for years, their sons were like my own brothers, and we hunted and fished and Bob taught me how to trap. Hap and Betty were like my parents, they would whip me as same as their own, but they would watch out for me and protect me as well. My only regret is I didn't get a chance to tell them in person, what they meant to me. Hap was a good husband and a great dad to his sons, he taught the things boys need to grow up! I'll never forget when I got my license and my old car broke down, Hap let me drive his truck, so we could go different places to hunt or fish, he was one of the best! I'll never forget him, or sweet Betty, to let me become a part of their family.
