Richard Harig, Jr.

Richard Lewis Harig Jr., 53, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Oak Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Baltic.

A son of the late Richard Lewis Harig Sr. and the late Sharon Lee (Page) Harig, Richard was born January 19, 1965 at Dover, Ohio.

Richard graduated from New Philadelphia High School and was formerly employed at Starlight at Massillon as a press operator. He loved fishing and spending time on his boat.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Jeff Pringle of New Philadelphia; two nieces, Jesalyn (Beau) Stull and Jilyane Weigand both of New Philadelphia and his great nieces and great nephew, Chasity Hawk and Emalyn, Connor and Kirstin Weigand.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Noon in Roxford Church Cemetery. A meal will follow at LifeWay Church in New Philadelphia.
