Richard B. “Dick” Frink

August 17, 1948 — June 29, 2021

Richard B. “Dick” Frink, 72, of Mineral City, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 29, 2021 following a long battle with MDS and leukemia.

Born in Lodi, Ohio on August 17, 1948, he was the son of the late Beryl Maurice and Florence Bertha (Knoch) Frink. After graduating from Highland High School in 1966, he was most notably employed by Twin City Concrete for 10 years and more than 30 years with Republic Waste.

On May 27, 1967, Dick married his high school sweetheart, the former Patricia F. Willey. Together they were blessed with a life filled with family, friends, and treasured moments. Dick was a union steward for the Teamster Union Local 92. He also spent many hours making hay with family, farming, enjoying birdwatching with Pat on their front porch, and always lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

His life was most fulfilled when he was spending time with his family. He taught his daughters the importance of hard work and independence. His love and devotion to his family was felt by each person in a unique and significant way.

Dick will always be deeply loved by his wife, Pat; his daughters, Carrie Brannon of Texas, Amie (Terry) McKain of Mineral City, and Jennifer (Ed) Fantin of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Madison (Bryan) Stahl, Codie and Kyle (Fiance, Maria) McKain, and Frankie and Dylan Fantin; his siblings, Linda, Karen “Mike” Vinci, Pete (Beth) Frink, Brady (Tina) Frink and Charlie (Bo) Frink; his sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Dr. Kevin) Mayfield; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hostetler; brother, Don Frink; brother-in-law, Ronnie Vinci; grandson, Colton Boring; and parents-in-law, James and Dorothy Willey.

In keeping with Dick’s wishes, cremation care will be conducted. A gathering of family and friends will be held July 3, 2021 beginning at 4 p.m. at Ed and Jennifer’s farm.
