Peggy L. Page Kellogg, 60, of Dover, died suddenly, Friday, April 27, 2018 in Union Hospital at Dover.

Born in Ashtabula, Ohio on January 30, 1958, Peggy was a daughter of the late Eleanor and Art Nichols and Roger Page.

A 1975 graduate of Dover High School, Peggy was employed as a sales representative for Campbell & Associates, Inc., Statewide Surveying Services.

She was a passionate animal lover, having rescued, advocated for and defended their rights for many years. All of her beloved pets lived happy, long lives while in Peggy’s care. She enjoyed riding horses, driving her all-terrain vehicle, spending time at the beach, and mostly being surrounded by a family that loved her.

Peggy will forever be remembered for her outgoing personality, her sense of humor and ability to entertain others through the most hilarious stories. Recently, she used her personality to her advantage as an activist for current political happenings and women’s rights; and had begun to participate in women’s equality marches. She utilized her twitter handle, @peggykellogg2, aptly named Eye of the Tiger, to share her views and opinions. Her generosity and “do good” nature knew no bounds and was well known and appreciated by family, friends and strangers alike.

Peggy leaves behind a daughter, Nicole (fiancé, Chris Chapman) Kellogg; two grandchildren, Vivi and Luca Chapman who were the loves of her life; step-children, David (Amy) Kellogg, and Laura (Pat) Maculaitis; her sisters, Pam (Kevin) Riley, Paula (Lewis) Cross, and Patty Applebee; her nieces and nephews, Bryn Kosec, Abby Brown, Lewis Cross, Jr., Mary Cross and Will Applebee. She leaves a gaping hole in the lives of everyone who knew her.

In addition to her mother and step-father and father, Peggy was preceded in death by a niece, Erin.

The family will greet guests on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4-6 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Deacon Lynn Houze will lead a service celebrating Peggy’s life at 6 PM. A meal and fellowship will follow in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center. A private inurnment will take place in St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery at Dover at a later date.

I had the pleasure of working with Peggy for the last 5 years or so and I'm here in Detroit, MI. She was always a ray of sunshine and we talked about her grandchildren and my daughter all the time. She will be greatly missed and resting now. My prayers are with the Kellogg family and we here at Amrock formerly know as Title Source will never forget her great service. My prayers are with you all

Condolences to Peggi's family. Knew her in high school. She always had a smile to share with anyone. After high school I didn't see her around anymore. Glad to hear she was so active with animal rights and other political issues. Hope all of you can find comfort as time goes by. Sorry again for your loss.

Reed Bowers posted on 5/4/18

I was so sorry to hear about Peggy. She was way too young. I didn't run into her very often but when I did she seemed genuinely happy to see me and was always her happy, bubbly self. I don't think she was too happy when I accidently ran over Penny, and it was lucky my car was so tiny! I'll never forget the Christmas Eve I stopped in at Nichols' and got to see the whole family. My thoughts, prayers, and condolences to the family.

My condolences to Peggy's family. Peggy was always a big help with the PCAR golf outing. She and Ronda worked hard to get contributions for Habitat, while enjoying a good time with all who played the hole. She was a friend who was very fun to be around while also being open and honest to everyone. My pleasure to know. We need more like her!

I would like to send my sincere condolences to the family of Peggy. My prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Peggy and I were great friends in high school and although we lost touch, I've often thought of her wonderful humor and boldness. Such a beauty and a joy to be around. May you find comfort in the wonderful legacy she has left for you.

To the Kellogg family. Peggy would come to our office while working for Campbell and bring us goodies and always a fun story to laugh about. She brought joy to our office whenever she showed up. So sorry for your loss, she was much too young to die. She is probably sitting in heaven looking down on us, telling jokes and stories about all of us.

Peggy. I will never forget your spunk. Thanks for helping me out so many times. The neighborhood is empty and quiet now. *She took care of my chickens one week when I was away. She ran to the rescue when she thought one of them was being attacked by a raccoon only to find that it was just laying an egg.

So saddened by this news, Peg was such a delight to be around and always made Charlie and I laugh! She was such a lover of animals and when we had our horses boarded together you could see her passion. When Charlie had his stroke and we needed help with our horse, she was there for us. My heart breaks for all of you, and from both of us we will miss her. Heaven has another angel, that left us all too soon. Laurie and Charlie

So so sorry, don't know why these things happen, why God takes someone so young and vibrant, it's a void that can never be filled, I remember when Paula came to our house with her sisters for dinner and a movie night, they took over our kitchen and proclaimed we got it! One sister after the other finished each others sentence, we could see the love and caring that they had for each other, heaven has gained an angel in Peggy may she rest in peace

She always had the ability to brighten the day or place she was, regardless of where or when she was there. She was always one of my favorite "buddy's" and I enjoyed our conversations when we would cross paths, which will be sorely missed. She had that smile and ability to be positive, even when things appeared to be down. May all of your memories be the best. I'm glad I was able to call her a friend.......

One of the funniest ladies I've had the pleasure of meeting. I knew her several years ago; got to tease her one time about walking through town with skin showing!! Her jacket made her shirt ride up and she didn't know it! We laughed about it for a long time. ALWAYS had that great smile on her face, too. So sorry for her family's loss.

The last time we visited, she was practicing golf in the front yard during the garage sale. :) I'm so very sorry, what a very sad loss for all and especially your family. How fun it was to see you in Washington DC! I know how much your mom treasured all of you sisters. My sympathy to all from Prospect. Sincerely,

Words cannot express my sadness at losing such a beautiful friend and colleague. Beautiful inside and out. Peggy was a remarkable woman, one of a kind. She loved life, made everyone around her feel happy and most importantly loved her family to the moon and back. The world was a much better place with her in it. Another colleague and I were reminiscing and she said, "she can't look at a clementine without thinking of her". I won't be able to either, but I will have a smile on my face. God speed Peggy.

We are so deeply saddened by the news of Peggy's passing. Peggy was a bright ray of sunshine and a welcome visitor anytime she stopped at our office. She was kind and sweet AND ALWAYS went out of her way to ask us how WE were doing, and as her office mentioned she had a great memory and really knew the title companies she visited (she would ask about our kids, health issues, etc.) Peggy, you will be terribly missed and to her family we are so sorry for your loss! Please accept my condolences to Paula and family for the loss of Peggy. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. Peggy was such fun to talk to, always smiling and had such a great attitude about life. I had the pleasure of first meeting her when she stopped into our office once a month to bring us goodies because we always used her office to order our surveys. It was something she didn't have to do, but she took such joy in delivering these items to us. I will miss her at our lunches as well, she always made you laugh with her stories. God bless everyone at this heartbreaking time.
