Patricia Ann Turner

June 1, 1937 — September 20, 2022

Patricia Ann Turner, age 85, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

A daughter of the late Burt A. and Elsie Solley Wallace, Patricia was born on June 1, 1937, in Dover, Ohio.

She was a graduate of the former Stone Creek School and on April 17, 1959, married Lewis Turner. Together the couple had five children and shared in 46 years of marriage prior to Lew’s passing on June 22, 2005.

Pat was a familiar face at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center and prior to retirement was employed by the former Riverfront Antique Mall at New Philadelphia.

Pat loved traveling, being outdoors, mowing her lawn, and collecting dolls. She was a fan of Marilyn Monroe and an avid Elvis Presley fan who enjoyed collecting his memorabilia. Pat enjoyed listening to country music and driving fast, often being referred to as “Hell on Wheels” by family for the numerous speeding tickets she accrued through the years.

Pat was best known for her kindness toward others and for always having a smile on her face. Her family remembers the firm but fair way she kept them in line and how she never backed down from any challenge.

She is survived by her children, Patty McHenry, Jacquelyn (companion, Darrell Everly) Turner and Charlene (Edward) Diehl all of New Philadelphia, and a son, Randy Kinsey of Newcomerstown; four grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) McHenry, Samantha (Michael) Hardy, Madeline (Matthew) Calder, and Anna (Brenden) Lalli; five great-grandchildren, Araiya Hardy, Ava Lalli, Gianni Lalli, Michael Calder, and Myles Calder and her brothers, Art Wallace of Arkansas and Ed (Connie) Wallace of Dover; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Jurvic of Oregon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy Turner; two brothers, Travis P. Wallace and Terry Wallace, and her son-in-law, Patrick McHenry.

The family will greet guests on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Private burial will take place in the Turner Family Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
