Nancy K. Sullivan, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Cleveland Clinic-Union Hospital at Dover.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Schlafly) Albert and a graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Nancy worked as an ER Tech in Union Hospital at Dover where she enjoyed taking care of her patients and building lifelong friendships with her fellow employees, for over 40 years.

Nancy attended Jerusalem Church at New Philadelphia and was also a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445. She possessed a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her plants, shopping and swimming in her pool. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, her pets and her very best and lifelong friend, Judy Demuth.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Jim Graybill of New Philadelphia; her three children, Teresa (Tony) Pace, Sr. of New Philadelphia, Darrell Sullivan of Milton, Florida and Deb Watkins of New Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Tony (Courtney) Pace, Mitchell (Corey) Pace, Bryan (Shilah) Pace, Kachina (Michael) Piper, William Sullivan and Stacie Watkins and five great-grandchildren, Colton, Ava, Cruz, Lucas and Gavin Pace.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Sullivan and her brother, Robert “Soapy” Albert.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11 AM in the funeral home, with Terry Pearson officiating. In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, following her service, cremation is to take place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorial contributions, in Nancy’s memory, be made to The Tuscarawas County Humane Society.

Judy and I will miss her terribly. We have had so much fun together from riding our bikes to canton and all over tusc. co. family reunions and trying to keep our families together because that's what grandma wanted.,Riding around in grandpa's chevy on 50cents worth of gas. I was her maid of honor .I'm sorry that we could not come to the service. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and now heaven has another angel in the choir. With love from cousins,Barbara Smith and Judy Peters and families

May there be comfort in these words. God does not see His children dying, He sees them coming home. Rest in the peace of God and His Son Jesus. ???

I had the honor to work with Nancy as an ER tech for 30 yrs at Union on nights. We were quite the crew. I also would recertify her in CPR along with her daughter. With a good time had by all. She is, an will be, sorely missed by all who knew her or were ever cared for by her. Her life has lead her to heaven, where I am sure she is helping God by helping him take care of his flock.
