Melody Ann McKean

Melody Ann McKean, age 72, of New Philadelphia, died early Saturday, August 28, 2021, in her residence while under the care of Community Hospice.

Born in Dennison, Ohio on February 26, 1949, Melody was a daughter of the late Paul and Jackie Morgan.

She was a 1967 graduate of the former Tuscarawas-Warwick High School and married John David McKean on November 23, 1968. Melody loved being with her family and doing for others. Her grandchildren were her life and she always made a point to attend all of their school activities. When not caring for her family, she enjoyed vacationing and relaxing on the beach.

In addition to her husband, Melody is survived by her sons, John (Nancy) McKean, II of Leesville and Eric (Megan) McKean of Dover; her grandchildren, John (Heather) McKean, III, Sean (Taylor) McKean, Eric McKean, II, Carson McKean, and Kiley McKean; her siblings, Russell (Anna) Morgan, Paula (Rick) Spaar and Karen (Jay) Gibbs as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with Melody’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care has been arranged through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
