Mary Anne Neff

Mary Anne Neff, age 89, of Dover, died early Monday, September 13, 2021, in Akron General Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.

Born on July 6, 1932, Mary Anne was a daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes Moliski Yosick. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School at Dover and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In 1952, she married Kenny Neff and the two raised three children and shared in 42 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1994. Mary Anne deeply loved and was proud of her family. She enjoyed following all of her grandchildren’s activities and supporting them in their endeavors. She was known for her cooking skills, her love of Notre Dame, and her Red Bird collection.

She will be missed by her children, Fred (Gina) Neff of Canton, Rodney (Linda) Neff of Dover, and Brenda (Tom) Vaughan of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Ricky (Erin) Neff of New Philadelphia, Kristina (Matthew) Schleicher of Kirkland, Washington, Marcella (Chris) Amaturo of Denver, Colorado, and Hannah Neff of Dover; six great-grandchildren, Lainey, Emily, Reagan and Ava Neff, Crosby and Franchesca Schleicher; her siblings, Tom Yosick of Dover, Andy (Linda) Yosick of New Philadelphia, and Monica Zmuda of New Mexico as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Anne was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Monaco, and Barbara Campo; and a sister-in-law, Karen Yosick.

The family will greet guests on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5 – 7 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where a Christian Wake Service will begin at 6:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jimmy Hatfield in St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:30 AM with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
