MARY ANN PERKINS, 76, of a life-long resident of Dover, died unexpectedly early Monday morning at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Mary Ann was born June 19, 1926 in Dover to the late E. George and Nellie J. Glatfelter Belknap. On July 28, 1946 she married Harold W. Perkins. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1998. Mary Ann worked as a ward secretary for Union Hospital prior to retirement. She attended the Dover Bible Church and liked to make cards and stationery on her computer. Mary Ann especially enjoyed her new life at the Country Club Retirement Center where she played Bingo and was able to take her walks. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Mast of Mineral City; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Rebecca Perkins of Dover; her grandchildren, Jada (Charles) Redman, Pam (Gary) Adams, John (Darlene) Mast and Brian Perkins; and her eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a grandchild and a brother. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. The funeral will be in the funeral home on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Edward Scaglione of the Dover Bible Church officiating. Burial, alongside her husband, will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Following the committal a reception will be given in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.

I just wanted to let the family know that Mary Ann was a great person! she is sadly missed by everyone at Country Club Retirement Center she always made everyone smile. she was so happy there and it made me happy to know that when she was happy at the retirement center i know i work in a good retirment center. god bless you all! andrea chamberlain housekeeper

Karen and family - Mom notified me of Aunt Mickie's passing. I was so sorry to hear the news. But her spirit will be with you always. I've had her in my prayers daily for such a long time. She was a fine, fine lady - I'll always remember her as a gentle, kind woman. She made us laugh so often.
