Margaret Messerly Knisely

Margaret Messerly (Steiner) Knisely, 85, of Dover, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Park Village Health Care Center, following an extended illness.Born August 16, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. Steiner and Emma (Messerly) Steiner of Baltic, Ohio. Margaret Knisely was a graduate of Baltic High School and went on to graduate from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and Columbia University in New York City. She was a mathematics teacher in the Dover and New Philadelphia public schools. She was married to Charles Harvey Knisely, Jr. of New Philadelphia in1943 and together they raised three sons in New Philadelphia.Surviving is a son, David S. (Kathleen) Knisely of Cambridge, Mass.; three grandchildren, Charles and Lila Knisely of Cambridge, Mass., and Daniel Knisely of Dover; daughter-in-law, Susan Knisely of Dover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harvey Knisely, Jr., who died in 1957; two sons, Daniel and Paul Knisely; four brothers, Ed, Walter, Glenn and her twin, John Steiner.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 11 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, with Rev.
