Lois M. Moore, age 85, of New Philadelphia died early October 7, 2021, while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Born in New Philadelphia on November 15, 1935, Lois was a daughter of the late Ward and Bessie Selway Woodworth.

She was a 1953 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and attended college at Heidelberg. Lois retired from Marlite after 25 years of service where she worked in data entry and sales.

On October 27, 1957, she married Thomas Samuel Moore and together the couple raised three daughters. They shared in nearly 35 years of marriage prior to his passing on August 2, 1992.

Lois’ biggest passion in life was caring for her family, being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and in her free time, could be found working in the flower gardens surrounding her home. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Surviving are her daughters, Vickie (John) Garbrandt of New Philadelphia, Dianna (fiancée, Michael Angelo) Clark of Dover, and Sandy Fox of New Philadelphia, her grandchildren, Tiffany McClellan, Tonya Johnson, Lacee Hutchison and Dylan Teter, as well as 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jane Yarnell and Margaret Ann Gibson.

A graveside service led by Pastor Dotty Hartzell will take place in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:15 AM. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.

The family requests contributions in memory of Lois be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
