Kathryn A. Krebs, 75, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. A fighter until the very end, Kathryn never lost heart during her long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, which ultimately took her life.

Kathryn loved her family and God dearly. She was a proud daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had an infectious laugh, a wonderful sense of humor and loving heart.

Kathryn was hairdresser throughout her life, working at several area salons before opening one in her own home. She loved to play tennis and dance. Kathryn enjoyed spending time at the beach and being near water. She adored wildlife and was fascinated by Nature, which she believed was God’s Creation. Kathryn was a devoted Christian. She loved Jesus and she enjoyed sharing her joy and faith with others.

Kathryn is survived by her son, James “Jim” (Jody) Krebs of Lynn Haven, Florida; two brothers, Phillip (Valerie) Hootman and Larry (Ellen) Hootman of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Dylan Wagner, Jordan Drescher, Taylor Krebs, Adrianna (Jared) Swearingen and Alex Krebs; two great-grandchildren, Henson Swearingen and Sophia Rose and her best friend, Sis (Jim) Swisher.

I have many memories of Kathy growing up, we were neighbors. We had fun together and walked to and from school together. I remember going to church with her a couple of times. I remember her brothers also, especially Larry. She was always so pretty and fun to be with. I lost touch when I moved to FL. My sympathy to her family.

Kathy was such a sweetheart. I just loved her laugh. She always cared about others. She worked hard doing hair over the years and was very good at her job. She loved her family most of all. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her classmates in the Dover High Class of 1965 treasure the memories. Deepest sympathy goes to her family . Love Bob and Wynne
