Katherine C. Iberg

Katherine C. Iberg, 98, formerly of Sugarcreek and a resident of Walnut Hills Nursing Home at Walnut Hills Nursing Home at Walnut Creek since 1988, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in the nursing home.Born May 2, 1904, in Charm, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Emig Reidenbach.She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ at Fiat.Her husband, Walter Iberg, preceded her in death in October 1982.Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Lela) Lengacher of Kent and Mrs. Robert (Alice) Ott of North Canton; one son, Jordan Iberg of New Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Four brothers and six sisters are deceased.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ at Fiat. Rev. Greg Clay will officiate, and burial will follow in the Fiat Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Smith-Geib Funeral Home at Sugarcreek and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ at Fiat in memory of Mrs. Iberg.
