JERRY JACKSON, 39, of Midvale, died Saturday morning, July 20, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jerry was born March 15, 1963 at Union Hospital in Dover. For the past two years he had worked as a boom technician for Capstar Drilling. Jerry was a member of the Sugar Hill Wildlife Club and a social member of the Midvale VFW Post. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was a skilled carpenter. Jerry is survived by his fiancé, Cathy Roup of the home; daughters, Thomasina Jackson of New Philadelphia and Trista Jackson of Newcomerstown; step-parents, Clarence “Bacon” and Helen Morgan of Barnhill; step-daughters, Shannon (Brian) Manning of Detroit, MI, Erica (Joey) Devore of Uhrichsville and Dawn Anderson of Dennison; step-son, Delmer (Desiare) Roup of Barnhill; sisters, Lynn White of West Virginia and Jonna (David) Harper of Atwood Lake; brothers, Terry (Jenny) Jackson of Uhrichsville and Bakie (Shawn) Morgan, II of Barnhill; step-sister, Peggy (Tom) Smith and step-brother, Steve Morgan, both of Dover; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Nicole Cale, Joey Devore, Jr. and Alisha Roup. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Almeda Lenarz Morgan, a sister, Jeanie Jackson, and a nephew, Shaun White.Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Henry E. Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park.
