James E. Fisher, 94, of New Philadelphia, passed away December 27, 2021, at home following a period of declining health.
Born October 5, 1927, he was the son of the late Earl Walter and Irina Margaret (Sharr) Fisher.

James E. Fisher, 94, of New Philadelphia, passed away December 27, 2021, at home following a period of declining health.
Born October 5, 1927, he was the son of the late Earl Walter and Irina Margaret (Sharr) Fisher.
After his service to our country, James then worked as a truck driver working for Roadway Express from 1958 to 1985.
James is survived by his son-in-law, William (Lois) Gilbert of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Michele, Thomas and Peggy Gilbert; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Leeper Fisher; his second wife, Ruth Phelps Fisher; and his children, Edith Gilbert, James Fisher, Jr. and Sandy Fisher.
Private services will be held with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery at Wadsworth.
