Jack Judd Beahm

JACK JUDD BEAHM, 70, of Midvale, passed away Friday, December 6, 2002 at Sanford, FL following a lengthy illness.He was born at Midvale on February 1, 1932, a son of the late Walter C. and Estelle Judd Beahm. In 1949 he graduated from Midvale High School. Jack served honorably during the Korean War with the U. S. Army, from 1953 to 1955. Following his service to our country, Jack helped his father operate the former “Walt’s Place” in Midvale from the late 1950’s through the early 1960’s. He then worked for several years with the Ohio Department of Transportation in New Philadelphia. A life-long resident of this area, Jack also spent time in Orlando and Sanford, FL. While in Florida, he helped on the construction of the Epcot Center. Jack was a life-member of the Dover VFW Post #3463. He enjoyed many things in life, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, his grandchildren. Jack is survived by four sons, Karl (Sharon) Beahm of Victoria, TX; Keith (Jane) Beahm of New Philadelphia; Kurt (Maria) Beahm of Sanford, FL and Kris (Renee) Beahm of Uhrichsville; one daughter, Lee Ann Montgomery of Midvale; his former wife, Shirley L. Betzing of Uhrichsville; one sister, Sueann (Robert) McConkey and one brother, Dr. Walter (Joann) Beahm, all of Knoxville, TN; 14 grandchildren, Jayme, Haley & Molly Beahm; Kyle, Kourtney & Keri Beahm; Colin Judd & Kelley Beahm; Dakota, Cheyenne, Kerriah & Sierra Beahm; Heather & Kalyn Montgomery; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Kraig C. Beahm. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and one-hour prior to the funeral on Thursday, December 12, at 11:00 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery with military honors presented by the Dover VFW Post. Following the committal, a reception will be given in the Geib Family Center.
