FRED ENDRES, 46, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Union Hospital in Dover. Fred was born February 22, 1956 at Union Hospital to the late Eugene V. and Jane L. Slasor Endres. He graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1975. On August 4, 1979, he married the former Christie L. Steffen in St. Peters Lutheran Church in Oldtowne Valley. Fred was a supervisor for Belden Brick, plant no. 8, in Sugarcreek, where he started working in 1989. Fred was a good friend to many and was always willing to help. An avid Notre Dame fan, Fred mostly enjoyed taking great care of his home and yard. But most of all, Fred was proud of his two daughters. He is survived by his wife, Chris and two daughters, Elizabeth and Erin Endres of New Philadelphia; sisters, Carole (Tony) Cenci and Susie (Robert) Lang, Jr., both of Dover; brothers Thomas Endres of New Philadelphia, Richard Endres and Theodore Endres, both of Dover; sister-in-law, Karie (Mark) Christian of Sunbury, OH; brother-in-law, Bill (Amber) Steffen of New Philadelphia; numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Friday, February 21, 2003 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with William C. Haggis, II officiating. Immediately following the chapel service a reception will be given at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 202 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia.In honor of his parents, contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third St., Dover, OH 44622.
