Evalyn Hephinger Carroll

In keeping with God’s plan, Evalyn Hephinger Carroll 99, was taken to her heavenly home on April 18 2021.

Evalyn was born on January 5, 1922, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to William and Edith (Campbell) Hephinger.

In her youth, Evalyn was a dancer and acrobat well-known throughout Ohio.  Married to Robert Carroll, they lived in Greenwood, Indiana, and Port Charlotte, Florida. Evalyn and Bob enjoyed being with their family, entertaining friends, fishing, and traveling to all 50 states. They were members of Southport IN Presbyterian Church. Later, they moved to Bluebird Retirement Community in London, Ohio. Special appreciation to the Bluebird staff for their wonderful care.

Surviving family members include Judith Herron (Gail) of Salem, OH; Cinda Dehner (Jim) of Fairview, TN; Kathleen Carroll of Greenwood, IN and Amy Denny (Brian) of Mt. Sterling, OH; six grandchildren, Andrew, Lisa Oros (Bill), Jeff Herron (Stephanie), Gregg Herron (Bethany), Ben Dehner (Katie), and Justin Dehner (Brittany) and 12 great-grandchildren. Family was very important to her.

A family celebration of her life will be held in May.

Evalyn will be truly missed by her loving family and her many friends. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
