Donna Joan Lautzenheiser, age 89. of New Philadelphia entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior early Sunday, November 20, 2022, with her family by her side, while under the care of Crossroads Hospice at Country Club Retirement Center at Dover.

Born in Dennison on December 2, 1932, Donna was a daughter of the late Richard Jackson and Clara Barton Peale Holcomb.

Donna was a graduate of the former Uhrichsville High School and married Gary Ray Lautzenheiser on April 9, 1952. Together the couple raised three children and worked hand in hand on the family’s dairy farm for 60 years prior to Gary’s death on September 20, 2012.

Donna loved the outdoors and spending time caring for the animals on the family farm. She was also a devoted follower of Christ who found great joy in reading her Bible daily, sharing her readings, and teaching lessons at the New Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene where her faith was nurtured for many years until her health would prevent her from regularly attending. Donna loved to see the smiling faces of her family and was especially happy when she had the opportunity to see Jameson, who brought her great joy.

Surviving are her children, Eric (Cheryl) Lautzenhiser, Dan (Lorrie) Lautzenheiser, and Diane (Ron) Spade; her grandchildren, Elijah Lautzenheiser, Micayla (Zachary Ayers) Lautzenheiser, and Sgt. EnDrew Lautzenheiser, USMC, Joshua (Tessa) Lautzenheiser, Alyssa (Josh) Pauli, Mathew (Elizabeth) Spade, and Mark Spade. Completing the family is a brother, Ronnie (Margaret) Holcomb, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by siblings, Jack, Leon, Gene, Royce, Janice, Reva, and Faye.

A graveside service celebrating Donna’s life will be led by Pastor Terry Kidd in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 1:30 PM.

Memorial contributions in Donna’s name may be directed to the New Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene, 233 Fair Avenue NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
