Donald Garner

Donald L. Garner Jr., 60, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio.

A son of the late Donald L. Garner Sr. and the late Phyllis Garner, Don was born April 20, 1958.

Don was a longtime employee at Marsh Industries and retired after 38 years of service. He was an avid fan of the New York Jets and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Don enjoyed fishing as well as riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Duerr) Garner; his son, Joseph (Katlynn Davis) Garner; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Ruby Duerr; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Baltzley; and a brother-in-law, Mark (Gail) Duerr.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and his body has been donated to the Ohio State University College of Medicine for research purposes. Don also gave the gift of sight through eye donation.
