David G. Silverthorn, 49, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

He was a member of the Tusco Gun Club at Midvale and loved riding his motorcycle and going for drives in his jeep. He was loved and admired and will be missed by many.

David is survived by his wife, Melissa S. (Page) Silverthorn, whom he married May 29, 2012. Also surviving are his four sons, Tyler Silverthorn, Spencer Silverthorn, Zane Silverthorn and Lucas Gerber; his favorite cousin, Dawn Kolacsky; his brother, Michael Silverthorn; his three sisters, Christine Silverthorn, Rebecca Silverthorn and Monica Silverthorn; his in-laws, Judy and Klaus Weber and Robert Page and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brandon and Sara Kandel.

In keeping with his wishes, David is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and a celebration of David’s life will take place at a later date.

I remember when he came home from the Hospital, (Richville, Ohio ) just a tiny thing I thought. My mom would babysit if his parents wanted to do something. Our families always tried to stay connected even when they moved away on a little farm. Melissa and children, Chrissy, Mike, Monica and Becky, my family sends their condolences and pray your heart is filled with great memories. Love the Laughlins
