Beverly Jean Patterson, age 80, of New Philadelphia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 20, 1941 in Uhrichsville, Ohio, Bev was the daughter of the late Glen and Theada (Rennicker) Fanti.
Bev was loved by each person that she met through her life. She was an avid Bridge player, and loved to garden. She was a proud owner of a 100-year-old Christmas cactus. She loved to crochet. Bev has crocheted well over 100 afghans for family and friends. She then turned her efforts to making afghans for “Warm-up America” and knitting hats for newborn babies at Union Hospital. In her later years she also loved attending events at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center
On September 12, 1959, she married the love of her life, John Patterson. Together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.
Beside her husband she is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Kim) Patterson of Dade City, Florida, Pamela (Don) Ankrom of Gahanna, Ohio, John Thomas Patterson of Akron, Ohio and Laura (Craig) Seal of Strasburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristen Patterson, Kajsa (Ryan) Patterson, Erica (Armand) Ankrom, Shelby (Jarien) Ankrom, Jeremy Patterson, Jonathon Patterson, Kyra (Nick) Hafer and Kayla (Alan) Robinson; and over 20 dearly loved great-grandchildren.
Bev is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet guests on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM in the chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Father Jimmy Hatfield will lead a memorial service in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11AM.
Memorial contributions in Bev’s name may be directed to Wounded Warriors Project, 600 River Ave., Suite 400 Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Dear John and Family, So very sorry about Bev. Our Warm Up America group still talks about the beautiful afghans she made. Her baby hats were also gorgeous. I still remember how much she and I liked the Tom Tucker Mint Gingerale. My life is fuller for having known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Sincerely, Chris Tegtmeier
