Beverly C. Donehue, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family on March 20, 2021 under the care of Community Hospice.
Born in Uhrichsville on April 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ella (Eichel) Walker.
On June 23, 1951, Beverly married her husband of nearly 70 years, Joseph L. Donehue. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to care for her husband and children along with her yard and flower beds. She also was an avid craft person and enjoyed sharing that passion with her daughter. On the farm, Beverly also tended to her husband’s horses throughout their marriage. Her faith was nurtured at LifeWay Church in New Philadelphia for many years, too.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, Beverly will be deeply missed by her children, Joseph (Jane) Donehue of Uhrichsville, James (Sandy) Donehue of New Philadelphia and Becky (Daniel) Petitte of Sugarcreek; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Judy (Ray) LeGlise of Fairhope, Alabama, Kay Swisshelm of Dover, and Robert (Karen) Walker of New Philadelphia.
Beverly was preceded in passing by her parents; her brother, Richard Walker; and her sister, Janice Sanders.
Memorial contributions in Beverly’s memory may be directed to either LifeWay Church, 742 Cookson Ave SE, or Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.

Bev was a most remarkable person, even better sister. I love you sis. You can rest now .
Aunt Bev always treated me with such love and compassion. She loved me like she did her own children she will be sadly missed.
My deepest sympathy to Joe and the family. My family was blessed to know Bev from church. We sat behind them for many years. Bev gave me a small wooden nativity she had made. I sit it out every Christmas! She was a kind and sweet lady, who will be missed. My prayers go out to the family for comfort and peace!
Joe, Becky, Dan and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers...It is never easy to lose our loved ones...We are sure you will miss her deeply...May God comfort all of you at this sad time....
