Betty O. Miller, 87, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, January 3, 2014 in Union Hospital at Dover.

A daughter of the late Andrew “Jack” and Mary (Blind) Dudley, Betty was born February 8, 1926 in her childhood home at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Betty graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1944. She enjoyed spending time with her late husband, Paul, at their cottage at Lakeside, Ohio. During her time spent at the cottage, Betty became part of a group of friends who were known as the “Dock Potatoes” and she truly cherished being in their company. She was also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers on television.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Kim Eick) Miller of New Philadelphia, Dave (Lori) Miller of Stone Creek and Jon Miller of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Jeff (Missy) Miller of New Dover and their children, Caleb, Dylan and Grace, Blake (Lacey) Miller of New Philadelphia and their son, Peyton and Ben (Dana Ely) Miller of Sugarcreek and a sister, Jean (Burt) Beaber, a brother, Lynn Dudley and a sister-in-law, Joyce Dudley all of New Philadelphia.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul K. Miller who passed away on October 12, 2005; a son, Michael Miller and two brothers, Jackie and Jerry Dudley.

Private family services will be held and interment will take place in Jerusalem Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
