Ada Beitzel

Ada M. Beitzel, 77, of Zoarville, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, February 25, 2019 in her residence.

Born February 5, 1942, Ada was the daughter of the late Roy and Sylvia Martin McNutt and worked as a bus driver for both the Tusky Valley and New Philadelphia School systems. She attended LifeWay Church at New Philadelphia and loved riding with her husband on their Harley and especially their summer trips with the “Over the Hill Gang.”

On September 10, 1960, Ada married Ivan D. Beitzel and together they celebrated 57 years of marriage until his passing in November 2017. Surviving are her children, Kirk Beitzel of Zoarville and Corinna (Kirk) Reed of West Lafayette; two daughters-in-law, Suzie Beitzel-Polcin and Susan Westfall; her grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon (Cheryl), Jordan (Ashley), Logan and Zak Beitzel; Thor, Tyra and Hallie Reed and Kasey and Brianna Beitzel; three great-grandchildren, Octavia, Estelle and Piper Beitzel and a sister, Myrtle Brown.

In addition to her husband, Ada was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kim D. Beitzel and Clark W. Beitzel and three brothers, Bobby, Mick and Clyde McNutt.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2019 from 10 to 11 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia, with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating a service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park at Dover. A reception will be held in the LifeWay Church at New Philadelphia following the services.
