Wilma Faye Beaber Dummermuth

Wilma Faye Beaber Dummermuth, age 95, of Stone Creek, died peacefully, Saturday, March 21, 2026, while in Oak Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Baltic under the care of Ohio’s Hospice.

Born in Uhrichsville, Ohio on September 17, 1930, Faye was a daughter of the late William and Lois Taylor Stewart. By the time she reached her Junior-year of high school, Faye had been to 17 different schools as the family moved frequently wherever her father’s work took them. She moved to New Philadelphia to live with an aunt and became the first Quaker Girl and a 1948 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.

On February 4, 1950, Faye married David Beaber, and together the couple raised four children and shared in 41 years of marriage prior to his death on December 8, 1991. Faye worked for a number of years as a payroll clerk for the former I.F. Manufacturing at New Philadelphia, was employed by the New Philadelphia Unemployment Office, and worked as a coordinator for United Way. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

In her free time, she enjoyed riding horses, swimming, gardening, and walking, often up to three miles a day. Her faith was nurtured at Jerusalem Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of several Bible studies through the years.

Faye is survived by her children, Robert (Jeanne) Beaber of Stone Creek, William (Pamela) Beaber of New Philadelphia and Laurie Beaber of Stone Creek; grandchildren, Lorin (Tina) Beaber, III, Stacey (Mike) Cleavenger, Scott (Julie) Beaber, Jacob (Dawn) Beaber, Jessica (Scott) Rutan, David Beaber, and Liz (Jarett) Jones; 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Edward Stewart of Tennessee, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, father, and husband, David, Faye was preceded in death by her second husband, Earl Dummermuth; a son, Lorin H. Beaber, II, and a great-granddaughter, Saylor Grace Young.

The family will greet guests on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Jerusalem Church from 10 AM - 11 AM, where a celebration of Faye’s life will be led by Rev. Dr. Tom Hendershot at 11 AM in the church sanctuary. A meal and fellowship will follow in the church social hall. Burial will take place in Jerusalem Church.
