William J. Petersheim

William J. “Willie” Petersheim, 78, passed away October 5, 2026 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following a period of declining health.

Born in Wilmot, Ohio on March 22, 1948, he was the son of the late Jonas M. and Mattie J. (Miller) Petersheim.

He loved working on the Demuth Farm throughout his lifetime tending to the land and driving tractors. He was also an avid supporter of the New Philadelphia sports teams.

Willie’s family includes his son, William “Bill” (girlfriend, Janelle Blose) Petersheim of Dover; his siblings, Betty (William) Mast of Oklahoma City, Emma Hicks, of Burlington, Colorado, and Sarah Stucin of New Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brothers-in-law, Roy Hicks and Charles Stucin.

A private graveside service will be held in Schoenbrunn Meadows Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
