William Oliver Johns

William Oliver Johns, 83, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday October 23, 2004 at Colonial Manor in New Philadelphia where he had been a long time resident.He was born November 13, 1920 in Navarre, Ohio to Luther and Dora Marie Watson Johns, who preceded him in death. William had worked as a Grinder for the Stillwater Clay Works and had resided for many years in Newport, Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Oliver and Laura Watson; and a sister, Mrs. Andrew (Virginia) Nemeth.William is survived by a brother, Howard E. Johns, of Plymouth Meeting, PA.; nieces, Maria Johns, Diane Etnier, both of PA.and Dale Howell of CA.; nephew, David Nemeth of CA.; cousins, Marjorie Baker of Dennison and Joyce Greco of New Philadelphia and many great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 26, 2004, under the direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory, 10:30 AM graveside, at the Mill Twp. Cemetery in Newport, Ohio with Rev. Bud Milligan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home.
