William D. Cross

William D. Cross, age 52, of New Philadelphia, passed away in his home on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Born at Dover, Ohio on August 26, 1972, William was a son of Butch Cross, Sr., and Diana (McClanahan) Cross.

William worked as a machinist for 25 years at Blick Tool and Die. For the last few years, he drove trucks for Kevmar Trucking. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, stockcar racing and motorcycles. He also enjoyed shooting guns and was a gifted debater.

He is survived by two daughters, Megan (Alex Adams) Cross of New Philadelphia, and Morgan (Derrick) Goodwin of Sugar Land, Texas; father, Butch Cross, Sr.; mother, Diana Cross; brother, Butch (Marisa) Cross, Jr., sister, Terri (Doug) Allen; his favorite child, his dog, Gabby; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends, cousins, and other loved ones.

Cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Friday, May 30, 2025 at 6:00 PM in Midvale Park Pavillion.
