Timothy James
Horner
December 29, 1958 – May 25, 2026
Timothy James Horner, age 67, of Tippecanoe, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 25, 2026. Born on December 29, 1958 in Orrville, Ohio, Tim was the son of the late Jim and Corinne (Glick) Horner.
Tim was a long-time employee of Columbus Equipment Company in Cadiz, Ohio. He was enjoying being retired--giving him ample time to do all the things he loved to do at home: porch sitting with his wife Jayne, working outdoors "piddle-fartin' around" (as he and his daughters lovingly call it), feeding the birds, and playing with his new puppy Nellie-Belly and his loyal companion Abigail.
Tim had a love of collecting things, restoring Oliver Tractors, and visiting flea markets to search for treasures, especially keys and old signs. He was a private guy and enjoyed living the simple life. He was quiet, except with those who knew him well and got to see his ornery side. Tim wouldn't miss Coffee Club at Deersville General Store every morning to know the daily scoop. He was always willing to offer advice and to selflessly help anyone who needed it. He made sure to teach his daughters important life skills, and was doing the same with his grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jayne (Hines); daughters Courtney (Billy) Hyde and Emily (Danny) Hipp; grandchildren Averee and Brynlee Hyde, and Tyler and Allison Hipp; sibling Kimberly (Jeff) Ferrell; nieces Elizabeth (Bobby) Brooks and Sally (Matt Taylor) Johnson; great-niece Madelynn Johnson; sibling-in-law Donna (Bob) McMillen; niece Jamie and nephews Robbie and Randy McMillen; sibling-in-law Jimmy Hines; sibling-in-law Ginger (Jeff) Held; nieces Kasie (Stefan) Pruitt and Kaitlynn Held; great-nephews Oliver, Jack, and Henry Pruitt and Waylon Knowles. He is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Corinne Horner and father-in-law Jim Hines.
Cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. In keeping with Tim's wishes, there are no services planned.
