Thomas Vesco

Thomas Vesco, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.

Born on April 25, 1939, Thomas was a son of the late Carl and Anna (Bonvechio) Vesco, Sr. He was a 1959 graduate of Tuscarawas High School. While in high school he was an outstanding athlete, he lettered in both football and basketball. Thomas was also elected class president.

Growing up in Wainwright, he enjoyed playing baseball with his brothers for the Wainwright Redbirds. As an adult he continued his athletic career playing golf and bowling. He was proud to share that he bowled a perfect 300 game.

He worked as a delivery driver for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 32 years. He retired in 1994, at the age of 55 as the Drive Route Manager.

Thomas will be missed by his wife of 61 years the former Pamela Biggs; daughters, Marci (David) Stull, and Jacki (Samuel) Shook; son, Anthony (Partner, Evan Trad) Vesco; Grandchildren, Samuel Shook IV, Bailey (Joseph) Kopp, and Hannah (Tristan) Roberts; great-grandchildren, Griffin Kopp, and Ronin Roberts; sister, Roseanne (Thomas) Andreas; sisters-in-law, Shirley Vesco, Betty Vesco, and Roanne Vesco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his in-laws, Edwin and Mildred Biggs; and brothers, Martin Vesco, Carl Vesco Jr., and Ralph Vesco.

The family will greet guests on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. A service celebrating Thomas’ life will be led by Father Jeff Coning beginning at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
