Theresa A. Babarcik

Theresa A. Babarcik, 73, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at Aultman Hospital. She was known to many as Terry and responded favorably to Momma as well.

She was born on July 17, 1952, in Dover, Ohio, the daughter of the late Theodore H. and Rita E. (Weigand) Krantz. The eldest of the eight children to Ted and Rita.

Theresa was a 1970 graduate of the former Saint Edward High School near Carrollton, Ohio.

On December 29, 1976, Theresa married Paul A. Babarcik, children Fran and Larry followed. Theresa and Paul later divorced.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Theresa was known for her compassionate and caring spirit. She spent many of her working years providing home healthcare.

Theresa was the historian of the family, logging many hours researching and documenting the family tree. She treasured moments spent with her children and in recent years with Tiny, her beloved dog, who isn’t so tiny. Theresa also loved crocheting and doing other yarn projects. Her baby blocks will be treasured by several grand-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Babarcik, II and her children’s father Paul Babarcik.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Frances C. Babarcik and daughter-in-law Jordan Babarcik both of New Philadelphia.

Her memory will also be cherished by her siblings, Loretta Stitt and Mickey Hagler of Canton, Cheryl Krantz and Calvin Riechman of Tuscarawas, Leo and Debbie Krantz of Dellroy, Melanie and Gary Scheetz of New Bedford, Donna and John Schissler of Canton, Pam and Jim Noble of Carrollton, Joe and Shannon Krantz of Dellroy, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and internment for both Theresa A. and Lawrence will be Monday, November 17, 2025, at St Joseph Calvary Cemetery on St Rt 39 outside of Dover toward Sugarcreek. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. led by Deacon Ron Onslow of Sacred Heart Church, followed by a luncheon at St Joseph’s Family Life Center located at 613 N Tuscarawas Ave, Dover.
