Susan Albright

Susan Jane Albright, age 88, of Tuscarawas died Saturday, April 4, 2026, in her residence following a sudden illness.

Born in Utica, Ohio, on July 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Donald Nicholas and Mary “Kate” Marker Myers.

She was a 1955 graduate of Utica High School and on October 6, 1966, Susan married Clyde “Jay” Albright. Together they raised a family of six children and celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his passing on February 26, 2022.

For many years Susan was employed by the former Alsco Manufacturing at Sugarcreek until its closure. From 1986 to 2021, Susan was employed by Hennis Care Center at Dover as a cook. In her spare-time, she enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and playing games on her tablet.

Her biggest passion in life was her family. She cared for everyone and loved spoiling those around her with her giving and cooking.

Susan will be deeply missed by her children, Scot (Bobbie) Kirkpatrick of Port Charlotte, Florida, Sandy Holmes of Tuscarawas, Brad Kirkpatrick of Ft. Myers, Florida Kelly Rabes of Dover, Sally (Randy) Wineman of Dover and Carla Albright of Tuscarawas; 15 grandchildren, Jamie Meek, Shawn (Sharon) Meek, Carrie (Scott) Long, Scot (Randi) Kirkpatrick, Todd (Jen) Holmes, Greg (Amanda) Holmes, Megan (Dirk) Kreinbihl, Brad (Annie) Kirkpatrick, Ron (Michelle) Kirkpatrick, Nick (Allie) Jones, Tyler Jones, Jenni Wolfe, Stacey Wolfe, Andrew (Shannon) Albright and Donnie Braun; 38 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great- grandchildren; and her dog, Gizmo.

Completing the family are two brothers, Joe Myers of Utica, Ohio and Jim Myers of Pataskala, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Charity Page of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Susan was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Larry Holmes and Ed Rabes, a grandson, a great-grandson, a great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Laura “Peg” Quelette, Virginia “Ginny” Goudy, and a brother, Donald “Dick” Myers.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held in the Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship, 132 Kutcham Dr., Uhrichsville, Ohio 44683 on April 11, 2026, from 11 AM - 1 PM. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.

Susan was passionate about the mission of hospice care. Her family requests memorial contributions in her name be directed to the Ohio’s Hospice Foundation, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
