Steven A. Limbacher, 67, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover, following a period of declining health.
Born in Union Hospital at Dover, Steven was the son of Betty J. (Gingery) Limbacher of Dover and the late Donald V. Limbacher.
In 1975, Steven proudly graduated from New Philadelphia High School, marking the beginning of a journey filled with hard work and determination. He led a fulfilling life as an accomplished carpenter, being self-employed for many years. His dedication to his craft shone through in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of witnessing his work.
Outside of his professional life, Steven had a passion for bowling and collecting sports memorabilia. His love for these hobbies brought him immense joy. One of his proudest accomplishments was bowling a perfect 300 game - a testament to his skill and dedication to the sport of bowling. Even when narrowly missing another perfect game by just one pin, Steven's sportsmanship and perseverance never wavered.
In addition to his mother, Steven is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Carol Limbacher of Houston, Texas; an aunt that his parents raised from childhood, Maragret “Maggie” (Jake) McDonald of Plain City and two nephews.
In addition to his father, Steven was preceded in death by his two uncles, Ron Limbacher and John Limbacher.
In keeping with his wishes, a private family service will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and entombment will be in the mausoleum at East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
