Sharyn Ann Grant

Sharyn Ann (Niemoeller) Grant, 82, of Strasburg, passed away Wednesday November 12th after a short battle with cancer.

Born January 10, 1943, in Barberton Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Irene (Bixler) Niemoeller. Sharyn graduated from Barberton High School in 1961 and married Dio Grant on November 15, 1963. She worked at Flex Technologies and Beachy’s Country Chalet before retiring from Park Village Health Center.

Sharyn filled her life with her beloved family and the pets and other creatures she rescued and fed. She was an avid reader and a fantastic cook. Sharyn cultivated beautiful vegetable and flower gardens that attracted a multitude of birds and butterflies to her yard. She enjoyed many family vacations to the Smoky Mountains and to Cape Cod and was the heart of her family's gatherings, cooking and caring for all.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Dio Grant; children Chris (Susan) Grant, Wendy (Rudy) Grant, Kelley (Brian) Kelley; granddaughters Sharyn Serbet and Evie Serbet, and brother George (Debbie) Niemoeller.

She was preceded in death by parents George and Irene Niemoeller and sister Nancy Niemoeller.
