Sharon Garbrandt

Sharon A. Garbrandt, 66, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully July 7, 2023 in the Community Hospice Truman House following a period of declining health.

Born in Massillon on September 16, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Harry Amos and Valerie Jean (Malven) Yarnell.

Sharon’s faith was nurtured at New Life Church of God in Dover for numerous years. She was also passionate about caring for her dogs, supporting her children and grandchildren, and playing cards with her campground friends at Pride Valley in Malvern.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Garbrandt of New Philadelphia; her children, Leisha (Kyle) Simmons and Jordan Callen; her grandchildren, Kielyn and Kohen Simmons; her brother, Chuck (Diane) Yarnell; special cousin, Bo (Tabby) Yarnell; brother-in-law, Glenn Snyder; and her dogs, Bosco and Sledge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Snyder and Kelly Yarnell.

A celebration of Sharon’s life is being planned for a later date.
