Sara J. Crown

Sara J. “Sally” Crown, 76, of Sherrodsville, died Monday, February 7, 2011 in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late William G. and Hester B. (Tuttle) Shaw, Sally was born August 9, 1934 at Uniontown, Pennsylvania.Sally graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1951 and on August 10, 1953, she married William E. Crown Sr.She enjoyed showing dogs with her favorite breeds being Pugs, Pekingese, Cocker Spaniels and Springer Spaniels. Sally also enjoyed fishing.She is survived by her husband, Bill of the home, her children, Timothy (Kim) Crown of Houston, Texas, Amy Crown of Canton and William E. Crown Jr. of Sherrodsville; seven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Mann of Massillon and a brother, William (Sally) Shaw of Minerva.Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Mary Crown.In keeping with Sally’s wishes, there will no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
