Sandra Sloata

Sandra D. Sloata, age 56, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in her residence.

Born on July 17, 1967, in Parma, Ohio, Sandra was a daughter of the late Robert and Noreen Deike Slater.

She attended Parma schools and spent a handful of years working as a manager for Parma area McDonald’s Restaurants.

Sandra was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed a cold Bud Lite, and spending time at Tuscora Park.

She is survived by three sons, Frank (Natalie Rowland) Smathers of Nelsonville, Ohio, Anthony Heightland, of Amanda, Ohio, and Dennis (Natasha Rodriguez Smathers) Smathers of Augusta, Georgia, three grandchildren, and two sisters, Sharon and Susan as well as her nieces and nephews.

Cremation care was handled by The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
