Ruth L. Roth

Ruth L. Roth, 84, passed away on September 20, 2026, leaving this world to be reunited with her dearly beloved husband, John.

Ruth was born on March 2, 1942, to her loving parents, the late George G. and Florence E. (Dawson) Frame.

She was a graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School. Following her formal education, Ruth began her career as a secretary at Union Camp. She later joined the former Union Hospital, where she worked in the Human Resources Department.

On March 5, 1988, Ruth married the late John Roth. Together, they shared a wonderful life filled with love, faith, and travel, visiting numerous states and making many cherished memories along the way. Ruth was a hardworking woman who embraced life to the fullest and devoted countless hours to praying for others. She and John were people of deep faith whose lives reflected kindness, compassion, and selfless service to those around them.

Ruth was preceded in death by her father George Frame; her mother and stepfather Florence and Warren Klink; her first husband, Richard C. “Dick” Shaw; her second husband, John Roth; her brothers, Richard (Ev) Frame and William (Patricia) Frame; and her stepdaughter, Leslie Beans.

Those left to cherish Ruth’s memory include her brother, G. Robert (Julie) Frame of Siesta Key, Florida; stepchildren, Richard Todd (Kathy) Shaw of Anacortes, Washington; Dr. Miranda Eberle Shaw of Worthington, Ohio; Rosemerry (Dr. Joseph) Iannotti of Boca Raton, Florida; John (Vera) Roth of Lewisville, Ohio; Joseph (Jeanmarie) Roth of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and Linda (John) Hunt of Newcomerstown, Ohio. She will also be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her cousin and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Ruth, though you may be gone from our sight, you will never be gone from our hearts. We will carry your love and laughter with us always, until we meet again.

A public graveside service will be held at Dover Burial Park in Dover on Saturday, October 3, 2026, beginning at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Dick Harvey officiating.

Ruth’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent and compassionate care she received from the staff of Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital; her niece, Susan Petrullo and her caregiver, Deb.
