Roy Schupp

Roy J. Schupp, age 79 of New Philadelphia passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital at Canton, following a period of declining health.

Born in Steubenville, on May 14, 1946, Roy was a son of the late James and Thelma (McBeth) Schupp. He was a 1964 graduate of Scio High School.

Roy was a hard worker all of his life. He worked as an industrial electrician. In his free-time, he enjoyed model trains and classic cars.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jane Ankrom Schupp, whom he married in March of 1971; son, James Schupp of Bolivar; grandchildren, Bentley, and Adalyn Schupp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Roy was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Michael Schupp.

In keeping with Roy’s wishes, cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
