Roselyn Anna Montero-Domer

Roselyn Anna Montero-Domer, 72, of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 in Summa Akron City Hospital at Akron, following a recent illness.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby (Short) Montero and a graduate of New Philadelphia High School. A homemaker, Roselyn was always a strong and supportive influence for her daughters. She was “young at heart” and always a fun-loving person to be around. She had a great many friends whom she considered to be like family but most of all, Roselyn possessed a devoted love for her daughters and her grandchildren and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Gerri L. Domer of Green; Libby (Ray) McAbier-Wampler of Scranton, Iowa and Kimberly Shortridge of Lancaster; two sisters, Delia Festi and Lois Porazzo; a brother, Joe Montero and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, a sister, Jane Ketter is also deceased.

In keeping with Roselyn’s wishes, she is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will conduct a memorial service at a future date and time.
