Ronald Victor Miller

Ronald Victor Miller, 91, of Dover, died Friday, September 12, 2025, in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

A son of the late Troy Everett and Marion Modena (Calhoun) Miller, Ron was born August 24, 1934 in Manheim, West Virginia.

After graduation from Rowlesburg High School in 1953, Ron worked for 40 years with General Telephone Company as a Senior Line Worker retiring in 1995.

In 1954, Ron married the former Leah Jane Cook and together the couple reared two children. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Dover. Ron was an avid hunter, loved to boat, watch the Steelers and Cleveland Guardians and travel. His yard was always well manicured, too.

Ron’s family includes his daughter, Linda (Randall) Clements of Dover; a son, Robert (Vickie) Miller of Dover; siblings, Juanita Plueldeman of Bellarthur, North Carolina, and Sue (Delbert) Bell of Tunnelton, West Virginia. A granddaughter, Jessica (Zach) Pridemore of Strasburg; three grandsons, Gregory (Samantha) Clements of Dover, and Justin (Lauren) Miller of Strasburg; and 8 great-grandchildren complete the family; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Leah; Ron was preceded in passing by his grandson, Joshua Paul Clements; his sister, Marguerite Famertslelder and brothers, Robert Clinton Miller, Everett Miller and Franklin Miller.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Wesley George will lead a service celebrating Ron's life at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park at Dover. Friends and family are welcome to the Geib Hospitality Center following the burial where a meal will be shared.
