Roger Delavan Davies

Roger Delavan Davies, 82, succumbed to the ravages of pulmonary disease on August 15, 2007. He was born in Utica, New York. He was a World War II veteran. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Engineering, and spent his working years as a professional engineer. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, Canton, Ohio.Preceded in death by parents, George and Florence Davies, and one sister, Mary Smallwood. Survived by his wife, Lura “Pearl” Davies, step-son Philip Carr, step-grandchildren, Brian, Cheyanne and Chance Carr (who was a great delight for him), and three daughters by a previous marriage.Visitation 9:30 to 11:00 AM, Monday, August 20, 2007 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, with Pastor Dr. Tom Williams officiating an 11:00AM service.
