Bob Sineff

Robert “Bob” Charles Sineff, 80, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully in The Inn at Northwood Village on October 13, 2023 following a period of declining health.

Born in Dover on May 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Elizabeth J. (Carbary) Sineff.

After completing his formal education, he served in the United State Army prior to becoming a truck driver for more than 50 years. Later in his career, he was the owner and operator of R & S Trucking

On July 25, 1973, Bob married the love of his life, the former Phyllis S. “Sherry” Veal. They celebrated their 50^th anniversary this year. Bob loved to play cards, spend time with his family, and especially enjoyed supporting his grandchildren. Additionally, he was an avid football fan, loved to watch the birds and old westerns on television, and collect old cars. He was also a proud member of AA, enjoying sobriety for 33 years.

In addition to his wife, Sherry, Bob is survived by his children, Shelly Winkhart, Bryon Sineff, Toby Sineff, Christy (John) Kuehne, Kapona Goedel, Bobie (Mike) Stein, and Cashel Lineberry; grandchildren, Joe, Ashley, Nathaniel, Keyra, Bryon, Robert, Charity, Megan, Michael, Mitchell, Maverick, Mason, Madison, Maxwell, Brandon, Gavyn, Kainyn, Zoey, Zayne, Justin, Jeremy, Josh, Jalin, Evan, Seth, and Dorrian; great-grandchildren, Haley, Korey, Zack, Karter, Breanna, Brendon, Ohlin, Sawyer, Sean, Daniel, Hunter, Tyler, Weslee, Oaklee, and Enzo; sisters, Donna Watkins and Tanna (Bill) Loveday; former sons-in-law, Adrian Day and Darren Goedel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Carol and her infant son, Michael; brother, Johnny; and grandson, Robbie Sineff.

A memorial service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. Following the service, a meal will be shared at Holmes Church.

Memorial contributions in Bob’s memory may be directed to either Holmes Church or Crossroads Hospice.
